Avadh Bihari Lal Avasthi comments as follows: We find Kambhi, Kamma, Kumbhi etc castes in South India. Some historians opined that the name Kamma is probably derived from Kambhoja, an ancient Aryan warrior clan. Inscriptions mentioning Kammanadu are available since 3rd century C.EAccording to some historians the Kammas existed since the time of the Christ The theory is that the people who lived in the Krishna river valley, where Buddhism prevailed, got the name from the Theravada Buddhist concept of Kamma (in Pali) or Karma (in SanskritThis region was once known as Kammarashtram / Kammarattam / Kammanadu, which was under the control of the Pallavas, Eastern Chalukyas and Cholas. There are many theories about the origins of the word "Kamma" and the social group known as the Kammas but none is conclusive. In the last decades of the previous century some of them migrated to other parts of the world, particularly to the USA, UK and Australia. The Kamma population was 795,732 in the year 1881. They constitute about 7% of Andhra Pradesh and 5% of Tamil Nadu population and in significant numbers in Karnataka. My rating 4.Kamma (Telugu: కమ్మ) or the Kammavaru are a caste or social group found largely in the Southern Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu and Karnataka.
So,Raju Gari Gadhi 2 is bearable only because of its last 20mins.Rest of the movie is trash. Cinematography is decent and Thaman's BGM is loud.Rudra's theme is a clear rip-off from Kaththi theme. Samantha has come up with good performance in a key emotional climax sequence. It is a simple role for the experienced actor but his presence makes all the difference.Samantha gets a meaty role that appears in the second half of the story. Nagarjuna in the role of Rudra, the mentalist is well suited. Even second half is boring till last 20 mins.Thankfully, the momentum is regained towards the penultimate sequences when Nagarjuna starts questioning the suspects of Amrutha's (Samantha) killers. The method that Nagarjuna employs for the questioning is interesting and also the conversation between Nagarjuna and Samantha's spirit are okay. Entire first half is irritating to the core as the so called comedy which the actors are trying to do is so silly and outdated.Even Vennla Kishore who is famous for his comedy timing couldn't save the first half.Praveen failed a lot in terms of comedy.Except for Seerat's occasional exposing, first half is ridiculous.Scary scenes are so silly that they evoked more laughter than the comedy scenes.Rudra's entry before interval raises hopes but within no time,we get confused whether Rudra is mentalist or psychic. Who killed her and why is her spirit hovering around this resort? My Review: The movie opens with the spooky shots shown in trailer which gave a clear hint that the only part I have waited for is completed and rest of the movie is going to be a hell ride. They soon feel the presence of paranormal activities and seek the services of a mentalist Rudra (Nagarjuna).Rudra informs them that their resort is haunted by a ghost that is waiting for vengeance and is looking for answers to her death. But Nagarjuna's confidence on movie (Remake of Pretham) raised a bit of expectations on the film.So how is it? Plot: Three friends (Vennela Kishore, Ashwini Babu, Praveen) run a resort. Raju Gari Gadhi 2 (2017): Raju Gari Gadhi is one of the worst films I had ever seen because of its silly comedy and story which is taken from lot of Hollywood films. When they have announced Part-2 with Nagarjuna and Samantha,I was totally surprised "Why the heck are they getting into this mess?".
